To
obtain the information regarding the IP address of your printer, go
with the steps given below. Select the Settings menu on the HP
Officejet Pro 8600 printer. Tap the Wireless icon. See if you can
find the Display Network Configuration option on the control panel
screen.

When you locate the option, click on it. Choose the Display Network Summary option. The information related to the Hostname, MAC, SSID, and IP Address will be displayed on the control panel.

If those details are not displayed on the control panel, then it means that the printer is not connected to the network.

The other way to get the information on IP address is given below.

Go to the Home screen on the control panel of the printer and click the Setup option. Select the Reports option and choose the Network Configuration option. The printer’s network details will be displayed on the screen.
- The IP setting will be set to Automatic for the default IP setting. You may need to manually change the settings such as subnet mask, default gateway, or the IP address if you are an advanced user. If you need to change the IP address for your printer, then follow the step below.

Locate the Right arrow symbol on the control panel screen of the printer. Click on the Right arrow option. Tap the Setup menu. Then choose the Network option. Select the Advanced Setup option and click on IP Settings on the control panel of the printer.

Check if any warning message appears displaying that altering the IP address eliminates the printer from the network. Select Ok to proceed. By default, the Automatic option will be enabled.
