Scan a document or photo with your mobile device
1) Choose document or photos
2) Open the HP Smart App
3) Choose mobile device
Android devices and select the type of scan you want to complete.
Android devices: Tap Camera Scan to Email, or Camera Scan to Cloud, or Document Capture. You can also tap the Camera icon
Apple iOS devices: Tap Scan to Email or Scan to Cloud, and then tap the Camera option. You can also tap the Scan icon
4) Take a picture or allow the app to take the picture, depending on your mobile device.
Android devices: Take a picture of the document or photo, confirm the scan, and then place a finger on one of the blue dots to manually adjust the border.
Apple iOS devices: Select Auto or Manual mode when the camera opens. Auto mode finds the edges of your document automatically, and then completes the scan. With Auto mode, you can quickly scan single and multi-page documents. Manual mode is best for one or two page scans, or when Auto mode cannot detect the edges of the item being scanned.
Tap the checkmark icon to end an Auto scan, and then continue to the scan preview screen.
5) Make any changes to the scan on the preview screen, if necessary.
6) If you want to scan additional pages, tap the additional pages icon .
7) When the scan is complete, tap Send, Save, Share, or Print, depending on the type of scan previously selected.
