HP Envy 5640 Wireless Printer Setup

To setup Wireless Network. You should Install the HP Printer Software for Windows 10, Windows 8, Windows 7, or Windows Vista

How to Install the HP Software?
This document is about how to install wireless network for HP Envy 5640 Printer. Follow the below steps
Note: First Ensure with your network name and password. Now install the printer software for a wireless network
Step 1: You should have following items
  •  Network name: The network name is the SSID
  • Security pass-phrase (WEP key or WPA)
  • A computer that is connected to the wireless network
  1.  Internet access (recommended): HP recommends broadband Internet access such as cable or DSL
  2. Your wireless-capable printer: Place it close to the computer during the installation procedure
  3. A USB cable: Used only during the wireless installation
  •  Turn On Your Computer,Printer,Router and Make sure that the computer is connected to the wireless network and then connect your printer.
  •  Check weather your printer is connected with USB cable. if it’s is connected you should disconnect it.
  •  Previously installed USB Connections is removed by following instructions and now you should connect with wireless connections
  1. Search for HP folder in your PC and open the HP folder which contain the installed software.
  2. Click the folder and click the printer name
  3. Select Utilities, and then click Printer Setup & Software Selection.
  4. Click Convert a USB connected printer to wireless or Connect a new printer
Step 2: Now Connect to the wireless network
  •  Turn on the printer, if it is not already turned on.
  • Then open the printer control Panel, touch the wireless icon. The Wireless Summary screen display.
  • Touch the settings icon,and then select wireless Settings.
  • Touch Wireless Setup Wizard, and then follow the instructions on the control panel to connect your wireless network
Step 3: Easy Download and Install the Printer Software
  •  Turn on Printer
  • Disconnect the USB cable
  • Go to HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads.
  • Select the Printer model and the follow the instructions to go to the download page.
  • Recommended to click Download next to the full feature driver or click Basic Drivers for other driver options.
