Use the power button to turn the printer on and wait for the menu to display on its control panel.
Set the language, region/country, date and time using the up and down arrow once you access the printer’s control panel. Before you connect your printer and the computer with the cable, turn off the printer. If the computer is already active, then the printer makes a sound after connecting it to the system.
Unpack the ink cartridges from its pack and shake it well for the ink flow to be proportional. Notice if the package consists of a black and a tri-color ink cartridge. Place the black ink cartridge on the right side of its slot and the tri-color on the left side. If the ink cartridges are not fixed , then it may lead to an issue. 123.hp.com/setup
