Once the “Indicated Cartridges are not intended” error is displayed on the printer’s control panel, the printer will not print. The error occurs when the loaded ink cartridge does not have full electrical contact with the 123.hp.com/ojpro8620 printer.
- After turning the printer on, open the top cover and wait for the printer to remain idle.
- Disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and press down the cartridge causing the issue and release it from the slot.
- Clean any debris accumulated on the electrical contacts using a dry swab, and remove any protective tapes on the ink cartridge nozzle.
- Reinstall the cartridge into the slots if the cartridge is compatible, else purchase a compatible replacement cartridge.
- Repeat the reseating and cleaning procedure if the error persists.
