Checking Wireless network for HP Officejet 4650 Printer
1. Turn the printer on and tap the Wireless icon on the printer’s control panel.
2. Touch the Settings icon on the Wireless screen.
3. Select the Restore Network Defaults option.
4. Now run Wireless Setup Wizard under the Settings icon. Follow the prompts displayed on the control panel to connect the printer to your wireless network. Try to print.
Update the printer firmware
1) Make sure the printer driver and firmware are up-to-date. The updates can be found on the manufacturer’s website.
2) Select the correct operating system and version while downloading the updates.
3) Once you see the ‘Driver’ and ‘Firmware’section, click the ‘+’sign against each section and then click the Download button to begin updating your printer.
4) Once the files have been downloaded, launch the installer and follow the instructions appearing on the screen.
5) Restart your computer and printer. Make sure to save files that you are currently working on.
Check for Paper Jam
1. Remove all the paper from the input tray and check for torn paper bits using a torchlight.
2. Clear any jammed paper using both your hands.
3. If the paper jam is internal, turn the printer off by disconnecting the power cord. Now check the cartridge access area.
4. The printer’s Wi-Fi is Off
5. If you have connected the printer to Wi-Fi, check the if the Wi-Fi is on. To enable Wi-Fi, make sure the printer is turned on. Tap the Wi-Fi icon on the touchscreen and open the Settings menu. Tap Wireless to turn on Wi-Fi capability.
6. If the printer fails to connect to Wi-Fi network, run the Wireless Setup Wizard to enable Wi-Fi. Try to print. If the issue remains unresolved, proceed to hard reset the printer.
Hard reset
1) Remove the ink cartridges from the printer.
2) Disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer while the printer turned on. Remove the power cord from the wall outlet.
3) Remove USB cable if you have connected one. Wait for at least 3 minutes.
4) Now hold the power button on the printer’s control panel for about 30 seconds in order to remove any additional charge.
5) Now reconnect the power cable directly to the wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord. Plug the other end of the cord back to the printer.
6) Power on the printer and wait till the warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.
7) Re-insert the ink cartridges into the printer. Try to print a test page. Contact our technical experts for further assistance.
