Follow the guideliness to solve HP OfficeJet 3830 Printer Not Printing in Color issues
- Switch the printer on, if it is not already on.
- Wait till the printer is silent before you continue. Having the printer switched on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
- Remove the power cord from the outlet of the wall. Wait for at least 1 minute.
- Plug the power cord back to the wall outlet. HP suggests connecting the printer power cord directly to the wall outlet.
- Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer. Switch on the printer, if it does not turn on at once. Try cleaning the cartridges.
- Load white paper into the input tray. On the control panel which is on the printer, swipe the display to the left, press Setup. Press Tools, and then touch Clean Cartridges.
- The printer operates the automated cleaning process and then prints a Print Quality Diagnostic page. If the print quality meets your satisfaction, you can stop troubleshooting.
- If the print quality is not acceptable, press OK for a Second-level Cleaning when prompted to continue the next level of cleaning.
- Also, verify the color printing options under the printing preferences window. In your software application,
- Press Print. Select your printer from the printers available.
- Press the option that opens the Printer Properties dialog box.
- Depending on your software application, this button might be called Options, Properties, Printer Setup, Printer Properties, Printer, or Preferences.
- On the Properties window, click the Paper or Features tab, depending on your software. Click Advanced, click Print in Grayscale, and then de-select Print in Grayscale or High-Quality Grayscale. Click OK to finish the change.
