Solve HP Photosmart 7520 Scan to Email Issues

  1. Your HP Photosmart 7520 printer should be connected to a wireless network. It is essential for the wireless network to have an active internet connection. 
  2. Lift the scanner bed. 
  3. Keep the document to be scanned on the scanner bed. 
  4. Ensure to place the document’s print side down. 
  5. Close the scanner bed and press on the Scan button. 
  6. Choose email on the control panel of the printer. 
  7. In the To field, enter the recipient’s ID. Click Send to email the scanned document. 
  8. Automatically a new e-mail message opens when the scan is attached. 
  9. You can also save the scan as an editable text file.


If the scan to email does not work, then do the following steps.


  1. Find out the IP address of the product. 
  2. The IP address can be located on the control panel of the printer. 
  3. Click the Network icon located at the top of the display. 
  4. Enter the IP address of the product into a web browser address line. 
  5. Press the Enter key on the system keyboard. 
  6. Press the Scan tab. 
  7. On the navigation pane towards the left, Press Scan to Email Setup. 
  8. On the Redirecting to Secure Page dialog box, click OK. 
  9. Click on Scan to email setup.
  10. To fax, you first need to obtain a telephone cord. 
  11. Setup the fax settings and preferences. 
  12. A fax can be sent from your HP printer by loading your document and then dialing the receiving fax phone number from the control panel of the printer.
