1. Remove the printer from the box, and then unwrap all tape and packing materials from the printer.
2. Mount the duplexer in a proper place into the printer.
3. Once you are done with the installation of your duplexer, connect the power cord and then set your preferences.
4. Insert the paper into the Tray 1. Ratify that the print side is facing downward and the short edge is forward.
5. After completing the download procedure, install the printer driver and software. You can use the instructions displayed on the screen for easy installation.
6. In case the HP Easy Start app gets enabled but it fails to download the 123.hp.com/ojpro8717 printer driver, and then ensure that the computer has an Internet connection and attempt to download again.
7. During installation, you must select your connection based on your preference, choose USB, Wired or Wireless connection.
