How to Install HP Deskjet 2542

1. Attach the power cord to the purple port on the back of the printer.
2. Power it up with the nearby wall socket.
3. Fire up the printer by pressing the Power button.
4. Unwrap the ink cartridges and peel off the orange tapes from them.
5. Load them in the corresponding ink cartridge slots.
6. Lift the carriage access lid and insert paper sheets into it.
7. Connect the printer to your home network with the Wireless Setup Wizard.
8. Install the printer driver on your computer with the supplied CD.
9. Opt for wireless setup and follow the on-screen directions.
10. Click open the printer driver once it is installed.
11. Configure the 123.hp.com/dj2542 printer settings as per your preferences.
12. Begin to perform the printer functions with the printer application.
