Install HP Officejet Pro 8660

Step 1 : Take Away the HP Officejet Pro 8660 Printer from the Box.

After removing the printer from the box, detach all tape and packing materials from the outer portion of the printer.

After unwrapping the sticker on the control panel display, keep your fingers into the slot available on the left side of the printer, and then pull in such a way that you get access to the ink cartridge access door.

Take away all tape and packing materials from the interior part of the printer.

Shut the ink cartridge access door.

Step 2 : Install the Duplexer

Remove the duplexer and then take away the tape from it.

Switch on the printer so that the back faces you.

Grasp the duplexer by its sides with the rollers toward the 123.hp.com/ojpro8660 printer, place it into the rear of the printer, and then slide the duplexer into the printer until it quickly falls into place.

Move the printer in such a way that the front faces you.

Step 3 : Installing Tray 2

After detaching the tray 2 from its box, keep it on a flat, level surface.

Raise the printer and then keep it on top of the paper tray.

Step 4 : Link the Power Cord and Customize your Preferences

Link the power cord to the back of the printer, and then 123.hp.com/setup 8660 the other end of the power cord into an electrical outlet.

Switch on the printer.

After tapping your preferred language on the printer control panel, tap Continue.

Choose your specific country/region. Tap Continue.

Tap Date and Time and then set the month, day, and year.

Tap Done.

Step 5 : Mount paper into Tray 1

Hold the bottom of Tray 1, and then pull out the tray.

Touch the paper width guide tabs, and then bring the paper width guides to their outermost positions.

Mount plain white paper in the tray. Ensure that the 123.hp.com/ojpro8660 print side faces down and the short edge is in the front position.

Position the paper width guides inward so that they are placed conveniently on the edges of the paper.

Bring the tray toward the printer until it locks into position.

Bring out the output tray extender, and then lift the paper catch.

Step 6 : Insert Paper into Tray 2

Hold tightly the bottom of Tray 2 and then pull out the tray.

Bring out the paper width guides to their outermost positions.

Place a pile of plain white paper in the center of the tray. Take care that the print side is facing down.

Place the paper guides so that they rest against the edges of the paper.

Without giving pressure reload the tray into the HP Officejet Pro 8660 printer.

Bring out the output tray extender, and then lift the paper catch.

Step 7 : Installing the HP Officejet Pro 8660 Ink Cartridges

Keep your fingers into the slot on the left side of the 123.hp.com/ojpro8660 printer, and then access the ink cartridge access door.

Halt until the printer is idle and silent.

Take away the ink cartridge from its package.

Hold the ink cartridge by its sides with the nozzles facing towards the printer. Place the ink cartridge into its slot, and then bring the ink cartridge forward until it falls quickly into place.

Re-iterate these steps to setup all the new ink cartridges.

Shut the ink cartridge access door.

Give time for the printer to align the ink cartridges.
