How to Install HP Deskjet 1513 Printer

• Cut the sealing tape and pry the HP Deskjet 1513 box open.
• Pull the flaps back to access the HP printer accessories located at the top of the box.
• These include the HP power cord, power cord adapter, USB cable, HP1513 printer software CD, and the ink cartridges.
• Discard the cardboard packing material.
• Set the HP Deskjet 1513 setup box on its side.
• Use the plastic bag’s handles to slide the printer out of the box.
• Remove the plastic bag. Set it aside for recycling.
• Peel off the tapes keeping the HP1513 machine’s lids from accidentally opening.
• Open the cartridge access door. Remove the tape and cardboard piece from the left-hand side of the printer’s interior compartment.
• Close the cartridge access door, which is black in color.
• Take the purple connector and attach it to the rear side of the HP1513 printer. Attach the free end of this power cable to the adapter.
• Plug in the free end of the adapter cable into the wall outlet.
• Press the HP Deskjet 1513 machine’s Power button located on the top-left side.
• The HP Deskjet 1513 gets powered on and makes some noises as it initializes.
• After it initializes, lower the ink cartridge access door.
• Unpack the HP black ink cartridge and peel off the tape covering the ink nozzle.
• Install it in its respective slot. Push the black cartridge in until it locks into position.
• Repeat these steps to install the color ink cartridge.
• Lift the ink cartridge access door until it snaps into place.
• Raise the HP 1513 printer’s top paper feeder tray and move the edge width guide to the end.
• Load an A4 paper stack and adjust the guide to secure it.
• Install the HP1513 printer software on your computer to complete the rest of the HP Deskjet 1513 Install and setup.
