How to Install HP Officejet 5740 Printer

• Remove the wrappers over the HP Officejet 5740 printer box.
• "Open" the box and remove the HP Officejet 5740 setup from it.
• "Raise" the scanner lid at the top of the printer and remove the packing material from the scanner glass.
• "Close" the scanner lid.
• Remove all the packing components from the printer.
• Take the AC power cord given in the printer box and connect it to the power ports of the printer and power supply directly.
• Extend the paper tray of the HP Officejet 5740 printer.
• Slide the guides in the input tray of the printer.
• Keep a bunch of sheets in the tray and close it.
• Raise the access cover of the printer.
• Now the control panel displays the Door Open message.
• Tap the Change Ink option at the bottom right corner of the touchscreen.
• Take the cartridge given in the box and unpack it.
• Remove the orange-colored tab from the cartridge.
• Also, "peel off" the protective tapes from the cartridge.
• "Fix" the cartridge into the respective slots.
• Close the access cover. Tap OK.
• The hardware setup of the HP Officejet 5740 printer is executed successfully.
• Launch the printer software on your computer to complete the printer setup.
