How to Install HP Officejet 5260

• Remove the protective cover over the HP Officejet 5260 printer carton.
• Keep your HP Officejet 5260 Printer on an even surface.
• Peel off the tapes and protecting materials from the HP Officejet printer. Unpack the power cable given in the printer box and attach it to the power port of the printer and electrical outlet directly.
• "Power up" the HP Officejet 5260 setup by using its power key. Configure the preferences like the date, time, language on the control panel of the HP printer.
• Open the access cover of the ink cartridge at the top of the printer.
• Once you open the access, the carriage slides to the left of the HP Officejet 5260 printer. Wait until the carriage slides and settles at its place.
• Unpack the ink cartridges provided in the printer carton and insert them into the respective slots of the HP Officejet 5260 printer.
• Close the access cover and tap OK on the control panel of the printer. Open the input tray cover of the HP Officejet 5260 printer.
• "Move" the guides on the tray outward.
• "Load" enough sheets in portrait orientation on the tray with their printable side facing down.
• It is recommended not to load more than 250 sheets.
• Close the tray and loading sheets. Tap OK on the control panel. Now the printer prints an alignment sheet.
• Raise the scanner lid of the HP Officejet 5260 setup. Place the alignment sheet and close the scanner lid.
• Tap Scan on the control panel of the printer. Now the printer aligns the ink cartridges of the HP OJ 5260 printer.
• Launch the software for the printer and complete the setup.
