  • Now Locate IPv4 in the 802.11 Wireless section, and then locate the IP Address. This is the printer's IP address on the network.
  • Compare the IP Address to the Default Gateway to determine if they are similar. When the first three octets (a number between 0 and 255) are 255 in the Sub-net Mask, ensure the first three octets in the IP Address must be the same as the first three octets in the default gateway.
    • No need to Continue troubleshooting Steps If the IP Address is similar to the Default Gateway and your printer maintains the connection
    • If the IP Address is similar to the Default Gateway but the printer does not maintain the connection, continue troubleshooting steps.
    • If the IP Address is not similar to the Default Gateway: Restart your printer and router, then reconnect the printer to your wireless network. Print a new Network Configuration report, then re-evaluate the IP address. If wireless connection continues to drop, continue the troubleshooting steps.
